Farpoint Films has optioned one-hour medical drama, Critical, from Winnipeg writer Jeffrey John Eyamie with plans to package the show and pitch to U.S. networks.
Critical explores the world of the healthcare system through the eyes of Chloe, who leads a medical investigation task force in Toronto.
Eyamie is a screenwriter and novelist, whose book, No Escape From Greatness, was published by Turnstone Press in 2016. He also worked for two seasons in the writer's room on Less Than Kind (HBO Canada).

The reception and praise for Eyamie's novel has been great since it was published last year.
