Definitive Documentary On Randy Bachman Begins Production

Farpoint Films and Paquin Entertainment Group announced the start of production on the definitive feature length documentary on legendary singer-songwriter, Randy Bachman, for the Documentary Channel in Canada. The film will be release end of year 2017.

Bachman is a contemporary film that follows the award-winning musician creating his next number one hit - and he's someone that knows about hits (American Woman, No Time, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, and Takin' Care Of Business to name a few) - while looking to his past for inspiration from rarely seen footage, pictures and documents that have been stored at the National Archives in Ottawa for decades.

"A few years ago I made a concert film with Randy and I've been interested in him ever since. He's a uniquely driven individual with a remarkable professional hunger and intensity that appears to have been burning consistently hot for more than half a century," said director John Barnard, who directed Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap Tour: Every Song Tells A Story.

Kyle Bornais and Scott R. Leary are producing, and Chris Charney and Gilles Paquin are executive producing.

Bachman has received funding from The Documentary Channel, CMF, Manitoba Film & Music, Rogers Cable Network Fund and tax credits.
