Melissa Dawn Kennedy

Assistant Editor

Melissa Dawn Kennedy (she/her) realized her passion for storytelling early in life. Within her imagination, Melissa discovered a realm of belonging, adventure, and kinship, but above all, she discovered her voice and a determination to be LOUD

After graduating with a Media Production Diploma from the Province of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg, Melissa felt a pull to expand her skillset in Vancouver BC. Forged from her unique blend of life experiences and fantastical curiosity, Melissa granted access to her distinctive worlds rife with universal lessons by creating a series of fantasy fiction novels, advancing her songwriting talents, and working on projects with like-minded friends, such as the Vancouver Film School short: DIAMOND 2021.

Returning to Winnipeg with fresh motivations and enriched perspectives, Melissa began working in the Post Production department at Farpoint Films as an assistant editor, contributing to several projects including Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed, One Way Mirror, Death Of The Party, I Died And Came Back, and Almost Unsolved: Heists.
