FARPOINT DISTRIBUTION ACQUIRES SALES AND PRODUCTION COMPANY, 10STAR MEDIA
Craig McGillivray to lead expanded Farpoint Distribution
(WINNIPEG, MB) JUNE 24, 2024 - Farpoint Distribution, a division of Farpoint Films, announced today the acquisition of Toronto-based 10Star Media. The deal will see all of 10Star Media’s properties fall under the Farpoint Distribution banner.
In addition, 10Star Media’s managing partner, Craig McGillivray, takes the lead as a partner and president for the bourgeoning Farpoint Distribution.
The acquisition brings such 10Star Media international hit shows as Departures, Descending, Into the Rising Sun, Mantracker and more into the Farpoint Distribution library, which already includes series like Ghosts off Grid, An Hour to Kill, Fishing for History and the features Aberdeen, Wintertide and Menorca.
It also brings McGillivray, formerly of Breakthrough Films & Television, and his years of expertise in sales and financing of scripted and factual TV, into a starring role with Farpoint Distribution.
