  • 101 - “Haiti & Australia”

    In 1939 and again in 2009, Australia watched helplessly as massive firestorms roared through bone dry forests with devastating speed. We then experience the tragic events of Haiti in 1842 and 2010 when monstrous earthquakes below sea level brought untold misery and devastation.

  • 102 - “St. Louis & China”

    We explore a very different Disaster Deja vu with two of the deadliest 'natural phenomenon' disasters in recorded history that took place in two very different countries. The "Great Jaingsu Flood in China in 1931" and the 'Great Cyclone Disaster of 1896' in St. Louis.

  • 103 – “San Francisco & Jerusalem”

    San Francisco experiences a disaster Deja vu with two immense earthquakes that absolutely rock the city. The first occurs in 1906, and then the second, in 1989. Then we go to the other side of the world where Israel goes to battle with massive plagues of locusts in 1915 and again 2013.

  • 104 - "Bangladesh & Calgary"
    The deadliest tornado in recorded history touches down in Bangladesh, repeating the havoc of another, previous deadly weather system in 1973. Then, a spectacular summer storm in Calgary, Alberta rains a massive onslaught of ice from the heavens, tearing apart homes, businesses and cars.

  • 105 - "Japan & Australia”

    The most destructive earthquake in Tokyo's history and the strongest one in history are apart by 89 years. Down under in Australia, we track the isolated northern outpost of Darwin to understand how they learned from cyclones that devastated their town in 1897 and again in 2011.

    106 - "Zaire & New York City”

    The Great Blizzard of 1888 brought NYC to its knees, then another blizzard strikes again 128 years later. Africa tries to come to grips with a disease that first ravaged its people in 1976, before the Ebola virus rears its ugly head for another go in the same location in 1995.

  • 107 - "Galveston & Iceland”
    Devastating hurricanes twice leave a path of destruction in Galveston, Texas, an island city on the Gulf Coast of Texas. Then, Iceland is on high alert for the destructive force of deadly volcanoes throughout the land that show their bad side more than once.

  • 108 - "Chennai & Chicago”

    We explore a disaster described as the most famous fire in American history; the 1871 Great Fire of Chicago. In 1934 Chicago experienced another destructive inferno. Then to southern India, where in 1921 and again 2015 it was devastated by cataclysmic flooding.

  • 109 - "Charleston & Paris"

    Two of the deadliest storms to ever make landfall in the USA, Hurricane Hazel and Hurricane Hugo, both targeted Charleston, South Carolina. Also, the tragic events in Paris, two brutal summers of extreme heat that claimed thousands of lives.

  • 110 - “Montreal & Peru”

    In Peru, two deadly avalanches in 1962 and again in 1970 tore down Mount Huascaran's north face, wiping out the towns of Ranrahirca and Yungay. And in Montreal, two record breaking ice storms entombed the city in frozen ice in 1961 and again in 1998.

  • 111 - "New Delhi & Hawaii"
    A devastating tsunami that hit Hilo, Hawaii in the mid 1800s, then close to a hundred years later, despite precautions, Hilo is hit again. On the other side of the world, we look at the overpopulation of monkeys in India, and how they have taken over the city center of New Delhi not once but twice.

  • 112 - “Winnipeg & Pompeii”

    An ancient seabed returns to water as the mighty Red River spills its banks not once but twice in a century. The floods of 1950 and 1997. Flashing back to 79AD and Mount Vesuvius' eruption catches everyone off-guard devastating the city of Pompeii. In 1944, it happens again.

  • 113 - "Florida & Sydney"

    First up, we witness Mother Nature unleash the full fury of a devastating winter - twice - on unsuspecting, citrus rich, and usually full of sunshine, Florida. Then, day turns to night down under - more than once - for Sydney, Australia when dust storms engulf the city.
