Blake Chapman (he/him) realized his love for filmmaking while completing his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, with a major in film studies. He began his career working on set, in various positions such as 2nd assistant camera (Melaleuca), 1st assistant director (I Dreamt of Heaven), and other commercial projects.
He began working at Farpoint Films on Ice Vikings - Series 3 in the post-production department, and has since continued to work as an assistant editor on many Farpoint productions such as: Death of the Party, Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed, Finding Diamonds, Ghosts Off Grid, and Fishing for History.
When Blake isn’t processing and preparing footage for editors, he spends his time exploring his interest in cult-classic horror and science-fiction films by hosting a weekly movie night for him and his friends. He hopes to one day write a Canadian-based horror movie of his own. Blake lives with his partner and two cats he “tolerates”.
