The Illegal Eater Recieves Two Canadian Screen Award Nominations

Farpoint Films and Middle Child Films are proud to announce their original series, The Illegal Eater, has been nominated for two Canadian Screen Awards.

The Canadian Screen Awards are the annual awards show to celebrate the best of Canada's film, television and digital media.

The Illegal Eater, hosted by musician Steven Page, is nominated in the Best Lifestyle or Talk Program Series category.

As well, series co-creator Chris Charney, was nominated for Best Writing in a Lifestyle or Reality/Competition Program or Series for the episode Legume Supper Club & Sous Rising.

Season One of the behind-the-scenes look at underground and pop-up restaurants across North America previously won a 2014 Rockie Award for Best Lifestyle Series at the Banff World Media Awards.

"We are honoured to be recognized by the Canadian Screen Awards. We are extremely proud of the show and the passionate work everyone put into it including Steven Page and our partners at Rive Gauche Television, Blue Ant Media and Manitoba Film & Music," said show co-creator Scott R. Leary.

The Illegal Eater is co-produced by Farpoint Films and Middle Child Films. The creative team includes show creators Chris Charney and Scott R. Leary, director John Barnard, and producers Kyle Bornais, Scott R. Leary and Tony Wosk.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television's Canadian Screen Awards are part of Canadian Screen Week (February 23-March 1, 2015).
