Menorca Lands Canadian Distribution And Wraps Production

Farpoint Films announced today that their recently wrapped feature film, Menorca, has been acquired by IndieCan Entertainment for Canadian distribution.

The dramatic feature film debut of Farpoint Films' John Barnard, filmed three weeks this summer in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba before recently completing a shooting block in Menorca, Spain.

Menorca is a drama about a hedonistic soccer mom that embarks on a strange journey of self-discovery and seeks to reconnect with her estranged son by returning his pet rock back to the island of Menorca, Spain.

"I have a truly fine appreciation for John Barnard as a director and for his passion for Menorca. After working with John and Kyle on The Sheepdogs Have At It and the quality film that they made, it was a slam dunk for me to be involved with them on Menorca," said IndieCan's Avi Federgreen.

"We are very excited to partner with Avi on Menorca and continue our relationship with him and IndieCan Entertainment and share this film with Canadian audiences," said Farpoint Films' Kyle Bornais.

The cast of Menorca includes lead actor Tammy Gillis (Continuum, Girlfriend's Guide To Divorce), Sheila Campbell (The Editor), Dorothy Carroll, Aaron Merke (The Pinkertons), Logan Creran (Wait Till Helen Comes), Krystle Snow (Intersection), Jason Wishnowski (Faces In The Crowd), Talia Pura (Bad Meat), and Michael O'Sullivan (Careful).
