North American theatre pioneer Corliss P. Walker opened his famous Walker Theatre in Winnipeg at the turn of the 20th century. A triumph of art and technology, this marvel of theatrical architecture has survived for decades as one of the greatest historical buildings on the Canadian Prairies.
