Harmony: Song & Celebration At The Forks

On June of 2010, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada staged its first national event in Winnipeg.

The event was conceived as an important step toward recovery and forgiveness for the survivors of Indian Residential schools.

In the shadow of a new Human Rights museum the survivors told their stories, celebrated their culture and for many, made the first steps toward healing.

Music was part of this healing. Artists from across North America who have contributed to the contemporary aboriginal identity were invited to perform. This one hour television event is a showcase of their work.
